Laboratory test may be recommended to help identify underlying medical or sleep disorders. Laboratory test may include:

CBC- Complete Blood Count screens for blood abnormalities including red and white blood cells and platelets.  Abnormal values have many possible causes including diseases of the blood as well as abnormalities of other organs.

CMP- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel is a test that measures blood sugar level, electrolyte and fluid balance, kidney function, liver function and creatine kinase.

UA- Urinalysis screens for a variety of conditions including urinary bladder disease, kidney disease and diabetes.

TSH- Thyroid Stimulating hormone is a blood test needed to diagnose and manage an underactive or overactive thyroid, also known as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
